Between October 16th and December 15th of 2023, CLASS Day Program held their annual food and clothing drive. As in past years, the drive was a huge success. CLASS members, their families and Host Home Providers donated lots of food, clothing, and hygiene items. There were so many items donated that it took two separate trips and two vans to get everything delivered! Each year, CLASS members are excited to donate items, knowing that they are helping others in need and they feel good about being part of our community. It is important that the members of CLASS understand that there are people in need of help and support and each and every year, CLASS members come through in a big way.
This year, all food items were donated to Jewish Family Service in Denver (https://www.jewishfamilyservice.org/). The clothing items were donated to The Assistance League of Denver Thrift Shop (https://www.assistanceleague.org/denver/). Both organizations do great work for our community. A very special thank you goes out to Karen, a parent of a CLASS member, who graciously volunteered her time and van to transport the items to the donation locations. CLASS members, as well as staff at CLASS Day Program are excited to help those in need in our community and are looking forward to the 7th annual food and clothing drive next Fall.
Everyone knows the saying, “It takes a village,” and a village of good people are definitely at CLASS Day Program!
