Members of our day program CLASS, along with CLA staff Crystallene, Nancy, Dave and Angie, visited the Colorado State Capitol on February 28th to participate in the Annual Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day. Crystallene said, “The day began with the pledge of allegiance followed by the bagpipes. Our group then took a tour around the capitol to enjoy all the beauty this location has to offer. The day ended with the group enjoying a delicious lunch while listening to amazing guest speakers such as the wonderful Donna Gunnison and Representative Bob Rankin”. It is always an honor to be able to go to the capitol and participate in such an important event! As always, a big thank you to Alliance Colorado for making our voices heard!
